Catch Fever

For this video we were inspired by the Catch Fever album art, featuring red and blue paint splattered portraits of the band members. We also wanted this piece to be a clear departure from the previous, more narrative-driven video we made for the band with their track, Lost Love.
Our concept involved the Catch Fever boys trapped in a witch's brew. The witch is sometimes a beautiful and enticing dancer, luring the young men to her cauldron, and other times a dark and nefarious force, casting evil spells over them.
We wanted to create all of our paint effects in camera. Shit got messy! We utilized several tricks to achieve these effects, including a near-disastrous experiment with a kiddie pool.
